Our beloved mother and grandmother, Gangaben B. Chauhan passed away peacefully on the 28th March 2020. In tribute and in memory of her life, donations to the Alzheimer's Society are welcomed. Having seen the way it affected our cherished mother’s life, it is a charity which is held closely to our hearts.
Alzheimer's disease is an irreversible brain disorder that causes memory and thinking skills to deteriorate, eventually becoming severe enough to interfere with the ability to carry out the simplest tasks. The risk of Alzheimer's disease and other types of dementia increases with age, affecting an estimated 1 in 14 people over the age of 65 and 1 in every 6 people over the age of 80.
The work carried out by the Alzheimer's Society helps those suffering with the disease by providing support to them and their loved ones. Donations are also used to fund a variety of dementia research projects and initiatives across the UK to help improve care, understand causes and work towards a cure.
